Understanding Language

I’m currently working for a project at Stanford Ed School called Understanding Language. Co-chaired by Professor Kenji Hakuta and María Santos of Oakland Unified School District, this initiative focuses attention on the role of language in subject-area learning, with a special focus on helping English Language Learners meet the Common Core State Standards and Next Generation Science Standards . We’ve recently launched a new website, with papers from our recent conference. Over the coming months, we’ll be posting exemplar resources in math, science, and English language arts. Give it a look!
